City of Espoo’s Building Control Committee and Building Supervision Centre have given the Hurraa! Award for the first time. The award is City of Espoo’s way to acknowledge current, particularly successfully executed acts related to the built environment. The Viherlaakso temporary school, designed by Vahanen Group’s architecture company Innovarch, was awarded with an honourable mention.
In addition to selecting the winner, this year also two honourable mentions were awarded. The Viherlaakso temporary school, designed by Innovarch, was awarded with the other honourable mention. The project was especially praised for its colourful façade. The project’s architect and head designer was Innovarch’s Minja Mero.
The winner was Espoon Vuorikallio housing company and the other honourable mention went to joint-stock property company Safiiri and Eventes Business Garden in Matinkylä Espoo. In the future the Hurraa! Award will be given annually.
